Remember that kid you knew growing up? Taller than everyone, self conscious about it and just wanting to fit in and be friends with everyone? That kid is Zara the dog. Zara is a beautiful soul who just wants a family to call her own. She's happiest when with her people or dog friends and only requires an occasional pat or kind word to acknowledge her being there. That said, she's very happy to snuggle next to her human or dog friend if invited. Her recall is good now (especially if rewarded with lavish praise) and I'm happy to report she doesn't chase the cat. Zara would like to be friends with the cat but he has other ideas.
Zara has been supervised with chickens out and hasn't shown any inclination to chase them. That said, Zara is still a young dog and I'd recommend ongoing supervision.
She's gently curious about horses but at the same time, quite scared of them and has not chased them once. She is happy to bound alongside my horse though when I'm riding.
Zara would be best suited to a family with older children and another dog. Like any dog, she requires exercise but one good walk a day or a session at the dog park would be enough.
Zara has never had an accident inside, she whines and gets restless if she needs to go out or just uses the doggy-door now she's mastered it.
