Rosie DL1665

Rosie is a lovely little girl who loves cuddles & belly rubs and being around her human family. Rosie is good with other dogs and is happy to say hello to all the dogs in the park; she prefers ones that are calm and relaxed (as the big, energetic ones can be intimidating). She has also met a cat and was happy to just have a sniff and wander off.

Rosie is very much an inside dog. After a quick break outside in the morning, she will happily come back indoors to curl up at your feet. She loves to have you home with her for the day, though isn't destructive in the house if you need to pop out. Rosie is also happy to go with you, she loves going out on car rides. Even though she's a fairly low energy dog, she loves her walks and enjoys a short stroll every day.

Rosie can be anxious around new people and can become distressed in new environments, including the vets & groomers and she tends to prefer women to men. As she isn't comfortable being touched by strangers and can be snappy when anxious, Rosie needs slow and careful introductions to new people and places by an experienced dog owner. For this reason, we feel Rosie will be best placed in a home without children.

Rosie is learning how to walk beside you on the leash and has made lots of progress. She will also sit for her dinner and won’t eat until give the okay. Rosie will not respond to yelling, as that just scares her more, but needs someone who will be patient while continuing her training. Overall, she is the loveliest girl once given the chance to trust and get to know you!
