About Sadie *On Trial in Her New Home*
*SADIE IS CURRENTLY TRIALING HER NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* Sadie is a thoughtful young girl who, once she gets to know you, enjoys a pat and a cuddle. She is looking for a loving home who will continue to help build her confidence and understands she is a bit shy when meeting new people. She will also require the companionship of another dog in her forever home as this assists with building Sadie's courage in unfamiliar situations.
When Sadie first arrived in foster care she was petrified of the world, especially men, but with patience and love she’s growing into a friendly and affectionate young dog who loves being around people she knows. She still baulks at sudden movements making her better suited to a quieter home rather than one with boisterous, young children though in saying that she really loves kids and is very self-assured and well-behaved around them.
Sweet Sadie can also be unsure when meeting new dogs and has given the occasional warning growl though has shown no aggression (she doesn’t appear to have a mean bone in her body), and quickly becomes friends with other like-minded hounds. In fact she’s spent the past few weeks in care with a similar aged pup and she really came out of her shell - they had a ball together hence why a friendly, playful dog in her forever home is a must.
Sadie had never been on a lead but now she loves going for walks and smelling anything that catches her nose as well as learning to sit and wait before crossing roads. As she knows her name Sadie has good recall when off lead too. This intelligent girl is a fast learner who quickly picked up “sit” and “drop” and as you can see from her video she knows “shake”.

Adorable Sadie loves playing with or chewing on toys although she hasn’t quite mastered a game of fetch thinking it’s fun if you chase her to get the ball back! She travels well in a car and makes a good watchdog, letting you know when something’s not right in her world. As Sadie is housetrained we would love a home where she could continue to enjoy an indoor / outdoor lifestyle – cuddles on the couch at night with her humans are the best! She is also crate-trained and happily goes in there at bedtime, or at any time during the day when she’s feeling a little sleepy or just needs some timeout – Sadie’s crate is her sanctuary!

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
