About Verdot
Look at this stunner!
Verdot is a very handsome boy who has settled into care nicely. He is a friendly dog who loves to get his carers attention and affection as he enjoys pats and cuddles. Verdot also enjoys snuggling up next to you on the lounge and thinks that scratches behind the ears and tummy rubs are pretty good too. He lets you know how happy he is with is waggy tail and sometimes some little licks.
Verdot is a non-shedding dog but will require regular grooming to keep him looking his best. He came to us very underweight and his new family will need to continue to help him gain weight.
During his time in care, Verdot has been socialised with a range of dogs. He is friendly towards them all but is still a bit focused on other things as he is only recently desexed. Verdot is happy to hang around with the playful puppies and walks well with other dogs. He is better suited to on lead walks at this stage or going to enclosed dog areas as he has never been taught recall. Verdot is a relatively active boy who should be given daily exercise or stimulation to keep him happy and healthy.
Verdot has had very formal little training before coming to us. He walks well on the lead and is currently being taught how to sit on command. Verdot will benefit from some further training even though he is not poorly behaved. He will also require some more work on toilet training as he was an outside dog before, though he has made a lot of improvements already. Verdot is a confident dog out and about so will do well living in busier suburbs and attending cafes and parks with his new family.
We are looking for a home where Verdot will be a part of the family and included in the daily activities. He will require a home with another dog and/or someone home more often than not so that he gets the company and attention that he deserves. Verdot should be allowed inside to be with the family and will need a warm comfy bed to sleep on inside at night. He will also need some warm coats to wear at least until he puts on sufficient weight. Verdot has lived with children and seems quite affectionate towards them. At this stage he has not been tested with cats or pocket pets.
If you would like to offer this deserving boy a loving forever home then please let us know.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
