About Roy
They call me Roy Boy, but Roy is fine if you want to keep it simple.
I keep falling into the background with all these other dogs needing homes as well, but I know my perfect home is just around the corner; my foster dad keeps telling me that!
I am a pretty easy going boy. I spend my days outside with a bunch of other dogs and then my nights inside in a nice warm and cosy crate. Or sometimes I just wander the house and find a dog bed to snooze on. I am super chilled.
I know where to go to the toilet, and hold my bladder all night or let my foster dad know when he needs to open the door. I am perfectly toilet trained and crate trained.
I am good with other dogs, but I honestly don't need another dog in my new home. I am so happy having the attention given to me by humans only. I even like those little humans they call kids, they're super fun and throw the ball and cuddle me extra nice. So a home with young kids would suit me easily I think.
I am good in both rural and suburban settings. I don't walk off the property when paddock fencing keeps me in, nor do I show any signs of wanting to jump out of suburban lots. My foster parents have said fencing over 5ft for safety and security in my new home if I am in town.
I have been socialised with a bunch of different dogs, small dogs like Australian terriers and young pups and also large adult male and female dogs and I am fine with all. My foster dad thinks I may have been a failed stock boy, as I tend to adore the large black great dane type dogs a little too much and like to follow them around and show them that I can take care of them.
I have met some cats, and I am definitely fine with them but i do need proper introductions as I forget my manners and like to hang a little too close with them if I don't know them well enough. I have also met some horses and chickens and was fine with them too when introduced properly.
I am so ready to go to my very own home, and I am located in the Hunter Valley of NSW. My adoption fee is $350 which will cover my microchip, up to date vaccinations for the rest of the year, my desexing (oops no babies for this boy), and regular and up to date heart worm/ worming/ flea and tick treatments.

If successful, you would be contacted by phone, where we will talk about your enquiry and potentially organise a meet and greet between you/ your dogs/ your family and the potential candidate
From there, you can either take your animal with you if the meet and greet was successful and their vet work has been completed- or if the vet work hasn't been completed, you must wait until it's finished before taking your new friend home which will be organised between yourself and the foster carer.
Every animal has a 2 week trial period.
