About Meiko ... will leave the chickens alone when told
Hi, my name’s Meiko and I’m an extremely loving desexed female X breed. Not sure what I am. I am about the height of a jack russell with long legs, and much finer boned. My foster family suspects there is some kelpie and pomeranian in there as well as a bit of terrier. I’m only 1 year old and am looking for my own family to love. Very family friendly and just wants to love. I am currently with primary age kids and am fabulous with them. I don’t know about cats but after a few no’s I am ok with chickens. I am happy both being with people or tearing around the yard with a toy.I love playing with any dog that I come across but would probably prefer to be an only dog or be with a non dominant dog. I am a bit timid for the first minute or two meeting new people or dogs and especially meeting males but settle down after a bit and then I am quite happy to snuggle with both males and females. Manners are being taught to me from my carers and the older dogs I am currently living with. I was constantly jumping up which has now mostly been curbed, but may need a reminder every so often. I have contently slept through each night without a fuss and my careers have a dog door that I learned to use after a couple of days. I had a few health issues that have now been corrected by surgery. I like playing with toys and balls and love to play fetch but am also content to sit on the couch (if you let me) and snuggle.Easy to walk on the lead. As I am only 1 year old I still need some training in what I can and can’t do but haven’t been destructive at my careers house (apart from the occasional eaten tennis ball) which should continue as long as I have a fair few toys to play with. I need training with recall as don’t always listen but i don't bolt off.
I'm located in Wallan
