Jasper ~ red cattle dog ~ 5yo boy(on trial 9/7/17)

Look at this handsome, purebred, red cattle dog! Please meet Jasper. He is a happy 5 year old boy looking for a new family to love. He is extremely intelligent and thrives on learning new things. He loves to play and has loads of energy so would suit a family that is active. He loves nothing more than play time in the yard with kids. He is always friendly and enthusiastic with the family.

Jasper is already well trained and walks very nicely on lead without pulling. He will sit, stay, and roll over when asked and waits for his dinner. He always sits and waits at the gate and doesn’t dash out of the house or yard.

Jasper has been an outside dog but when he has had the opportunity to be inside, he has never had an accident. We would like Jasper to be part of family life so when someone is home, he would love to be included in family bonding time inside. He currently sleeps outside in his kennel.

Jasper is not a barker. He may occasionally jump up on people when excited but he’ll sit when you ask him and quickly settles down.

Jasper has been an only dog and gets rather anxious around other dogs. He would need to be an only dog and be kept on lead around other dogs when out as he is very uncertain about them. He is quite happy in his own company when left at home with his toys and a bone to chew. Jasper is not good with cats or pocket pets.

Jasper finds wheels (on bikes, prams, scooters, bins, etc) very exciting. His new mum or dad will need be patient and willing to take advice from a positive reinforcement trainer. Jasper comes with the offer of one free private consultation with our trainer to show you what to do.

Jasper is an intelligent and loving boy who would suit an active family, couple or individual. He will be a very loyal and fun companion.
