About Dogue (Hooch Dog)
Approx 3 yr old dogue de bordeaux. Found wandering, did her stint in the pound and now in foster care. She needs a home with no kids, and preferably someone who is home alot. As her history is totally unknown, we would not feel comfortable homing a large strong breed in a home with children. She can get narky with other dogs/pets, but usually chooses to ignore or avoid other dogs, so a home without other dogs is recommended. The breed is a very 'people' orientated breed, and do not do well when left alone for long periods of time, and definitely not 'yard dogs'. Previous experience with large breeds is preferred. A home in or around sydney is required with a secure yard. All potential homes will be vetted to ensure she finds the right 'forever' home. She is desexed, microchipped, lifetime registered, vaccinated, wormed and heartworm treated. For more photos and updates, see the rescue section of the dogue de bordeaux forum: www. Doguedebordeauxforum. Com
Medical notes
She was desexed on the 8th of october and will be ready for homing after her stitches come out in 10 days (so from about the 19th of october). She came to us with an ear infection which she is being treated for. She also had some warts removed. She has been vaccinated and started on heartworm treatment. Her potential home will need to get her tested for heartworm in 6 months time, as we don't know if she was on heartworm prevention, and an infestation that occurred recently won't be detected for about 6 months
