About Harry
Little Harry and his brother Milo were surrendered as their owner had not been prepared for the responsibility and work required with bringing up puppies. They have not had adequate training and socialisation so can be a bit timid at first, but once they warm up to new people they are a total delight.
The ideal home for Harry is one with an older dog who he can learn off and play with. He is very sweet with other dogs and would benefit greatly from the company.
Although Harry's brother Milo looks very much like a chihuahua, Harry looks like a foxie! He is long-legged and energetic. Harry can JUMP! He leaps up to 5 feet into the air, a happy little jumping bean. Harry must go to a home with secure, 6 foot fences.
Harry's foster mum is still working with him on toilet training and basic manners, but being so young he's making great progress. It is essential that his new family are prepared to train him, he is a spirited and fun-loving pup who is very intelligent.
Harry loves to cuddle and be on your lap, he is a beautiful affectionate little guy.
Medical notes
All Chihuahua Rescue Queensland dogs have been fully health checked by our vets. We offer a free post-adoption health check with Greencross Vets at Chermside, Jindalee, Browns Plains or Indooroopilly hospitals. This gives you the opportunity to talk directly to the vet about any questions you may have. We provide all veterinary records for each dog, including copies of blood tests, any relevant xrays and medical notes.
All Chihuahua Rescue Queensland dogs are desexed, vaccinated and microchipped. We test all our dogs for heartworm and treat them with regular parasite prevention.
Adoption details
Chihuahua Rescue QLD Inc. is not a first to apply rescue group.We re-home our dogs based on the best possible family we can find them.
The first step to adopting a dog from us is to fill out an expression of interest form.
We encourage you to provide as much detail as possible about your family and your home as this helps us make sure we match you with the most suitable dog.

Due to the large volume of inquiries we are unable to respond to all applications. If you are considered suitable for the dog you have applied for you will be contacted witihin one week of applying.
Please note: we do not organise any meet and greet without a completed expression of interest form.
Our adoption process involves:
1) Completing online application form - only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
2) Arranging a meet and greet with the dogs foster carer, after which we ask you to take 24 hours to make a decision about whether you want to adopt this dog
3) A brief home visit and yard check from one of our volunteers
4) Adoption trial spanning four weeks.
We ask that you pay the dogs adoption fee at the beginning of the adoption trial, however this will be refunded if for any reason the dog is not working out in your home within the four week period. We offer a four week adoption trial to make sure that you have plenty of time for your new dog to settle into your home and so we can offer you full support during this period and beyond.
We offer a free health check with our vets at Indooroopilly, Browns Plains, Jindalee or Chermside vet clinic after you’ve adopted your dog and every dog in our care is up to date with all vet work.
