About Dion
Sweet and pretty Dion has a nature as soft as his glorious cream-coloured coat. This loving little guy and his two sisters were born on a small farm where there was no one to look after them or show them love and kindness. So they were very frightened when they came into care and have taken lots of time to settle down and emerge from their cocoons. But Dion has truly blossomed and has learned how to meow and purr now and he is starting to get quite demanding for his pats and attention!
In a new place, Dion will certainly still be very shy to begin with. He will not be suited to a home with small children or very noisy dogs, but he can live with other cats for sure and in fact, living with a confident and friendly older cat could be very beneficial. Dion is looking out for a family who will keep him confined to a small space to begin with while he finds his feet. You should be prepared to possibly be hissed at, ignored and rejected for the first few days or weeks but to not take it personally. Like anyone who has been hurt in the past, Dion will take time to trust and bond. It will be worth it, we promise. The first time he purrs, leans into you, arches his back for a stroke of your hand - these moments will be as golden as the red-gold blush of colouring on his ears and nose.
*Located in Northam but can bring to Midland or other areas for meetings!*
Adoption details
Thank you for taking the time to view one of our lovely animals. We love them all and we hope you will too.
If you would like to know more about an animal please call Freedom on 0409 000 259. If it sounds like you and the furry creature are a suitable match then we will pass on the foster carer’s details to you so you can call and make a time to meet them.
Once you have met the animal and wish to go further then we may organise a yard check to ensure that your yard is safe and secure (dogs only). You can then take your new family member home on a 2 week trial and if you decide they are not suitable then you can return them.
If you are not sure how existing animals in your home might be affected, or you want a little extra time to get to know the nature of the animal, we may allow you to foster with a view to adopt.
