About Amara
Amara ....
When I was looking for a name for this special little lady, I knew it had to be something special. It needed to encompass her beauty, grace, mystique and sheer awesomeness. I came across Amara and it was perfect.... it means grace, mercy and kindness and is of Nigerian origin.
Now Amara didn't start out so nice. She was a slip of a thing when she came into care and little did we know she was about to be a mum. She was grumpy with the other cats and wouldn't come near us. Then one night I felt a little paw tap my nose and I looked down to see her huge eyes staring up at me from the side of the bed... and she climbed up and snuggled in for her first night in bed with us.
It wasn't long after that she had her baby... just one - little Asher. She was an amazing mum and this was when I decided on her name... she was so beautiful and incredibly kind to her little boy... so protective, nurturing but yet stern when he pushed the boundaries! When we rehomed little Asher his mum really began to shine. She became great buddies with our cat Wilbur and happy to hang out with human strangers in our house. She plays and loves hard and sleeps blissfully in your bed.
Anyone who is lucky enough to have Amara become part of their family will be forever thankful just like we have been. If you want a beautiful, playful, clever, attentive and affectionate little girl in your lives.... you can't go past Amara.
