About Dolce
Hello, my name is Dolce,
I’m looking for a peaceful home where I will feel safe and loved. I've been in the care of Lort Smith Adoption Centre since July 2016, and have been through lot. As beautiful as I am, I need help getting back to my normal healthy self.
I’m feeling a little overwhelmed in my new environment and I began over-grooming myself to try make sense of it all. Rest assured there is no need to be alarmed as this disorder can occur in cats that have been boarded for a long period. I will most likely need ongoing medication for this behaviour. It is possible that my over-grooming tendencies will resolve once I have settled into a routine with a loving family.
I also have a slightly lower immune system as I have FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). Only other cats can be affected by this virus, not humans, so it is essential to keep me inside and separate from other cats. I prefer it being just be and my carers anyway.
Please don’t be discouraged to adopt me, I’m just like any other ragdoll. I will be able to live a long and healthy life with a loving family. I give the best head bunts and cuddles. I love chomping on cat grass, climbing cat towers and jumping high in the air to catch my toys.
I am currently in foster care, if you would like to meet me please call the Adoption Hub on 9321 7240 to enquire.
Medical notes
FIV positive. Must be an indoor-only cat. Ongoing medication for over-grooming disorder.
