About Bear ~ American Staffy (On Trial 26/5/17)
Meet Bear, to describe bear in one sentence “he is a lover". Bear is a 8 month American Staffy.
Bear loves nothing more than snuggling, and being near his family.
Bear is great with all humans big and small and also loves a game with doggy friends. Bear hasn't been tested with cats or pocket pets.
Bear walks well on the lead and travels perfectly in the car. In typical Staffy style Bear will need secure fencing.
Bear has been trying hard to learn basic command; his training will also need to be continued for him to get it just right.
Bear has come into care being an outside boy so he's doing great with house training. Bear has thrived being allowed inside so his perfect home will allow him inside to snuggle and share all the love this boy has to give.
For more information or to meet Bear, please contact his foster carer Joy via email as she is a shift worker Joy.was.here@hotmail.com. Bear is in foster care in Woodrising, NSW (Lake Macquarie, south of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Bear's adoption fee is $450 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
