About Cody
Cody came into care with his siblings Lucy and Toby.
He is a curious and thoughtful boy, he likes napping and getting lost in thought while staring out the window. Once he is comfortable with you, give him a belly scratch and he will be smitten with you. He enjoys keeping your lap warm while you watch a movie together and his fur is so soft and beautiful. Cody also enjoys cat puzzle games and interactive playtime, he is always looking for something new to explore.
Cody is looking for a caring and compassionate home that will help build his confidence and understand that he is a bit shy at first.
Before coming into care Cody had to hunt for his own food, so naturally he is a little anxious of when he might eat again.
He is not aggressive, just protective and he will likely grow out of that, once he realises he has regular meals arriving in a bowl. Until then it is best to feed Cody separately from other cats
Once he knows you, Cody is super affectionate, he loves rubbing against your legs wrapping his tail around them while you do the dishes or cook dinner, he is especially helpful if you drop any food.
You might want to keep any tasty treats off bench tops, just in case curious Cody decides to help himself.
Cody is looking for an indoors home.
He is happy to share his home with other pets and gentle children.
Cody is litter trained and has been treated for fleas/worms,
He is also microchipped, desexed and vaccinated, he is located in Kingswood (near Penrith)

Our animals are rescued from various pounds and shelters and placed in Foster Care until a permanent home can be found. Our volunteer Foster Carers are located throughout Sydney, Australia and are only too happy to assist you.
DCH Animal Adoptions relies solely on our adoption fees and the generous support of the community to continue our rescue work. Many times, we are faced with large veterinary bills due to the illness and injury that comes along with looking after pound rescues.
