About Pippa ~ Border Collie x Kelpie (on trial 10/06/17)
Meet Pippa! She is an 18 month old, Border Collie x Kelpie. Pip absolutely loves people and her tail does not stop wagging!
She is a total sweetheart, a super happy girl and wants to be involved in everything. Pip LOVES water, especially her shell pool. After running around, she will just jump in and lay in the water to cool off. She also loves the beach.
She is currently improving her walks on the lead. She knows her name and is learning how to sit.
She is a fast learner. With more training she will progress into a very responsive, loyal and trusting dog.
She currently lives with 2 small dogs and a Jack Russell x who is her best friend. They play endlessly together. Pip would love another compatible playmate or someone who is home a lot as she loves the company.
Pip's yard has 5ft high fences which she has shown no signs of trying to jump. She has horses and cows on the other side which don’t interest her but finds the chickens a little bit too interesting.
Her foster home has a 6yr old boy and 1yr old girl with whom she gets along well under a watchful eye. She is quite energetic and excitable and could knock the little one over.
Pippa sleeps outside with the other dogs in a large kennel and has access to inside when someone is home.
The best home for her would be either a family with older kids or an active couple willing to make her part of the family, letting her inside and taking her for outings. She has a lot of love to give the right people who can continue with her training.
For more information or to meet Pippa, please contact her foster carer Lauren on 0400 400 789 or email laurendare@hotmail.com. Pippa is in foster care in Port Stephens, NSW (30 minutes north of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Pippa's adoption fee is $450 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
