Thomas *On Trial in His New Home*

*THOMAS IS CURRENTLY TRIALING HIS NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* Everybody meet Thomas! But don’t let his age fool you, Thomas is still full of beans and loves nothing more than to run and play then curl up on his humans lap for a nice warm snuggle; will it be with you?

Described as a ‘loyal and loving all-rounder’ Thomas is a gorgeous little dog with a terrific nature – he greets everyone he meets with excitement and loves big cuddles; he’s one of those friendly, happy dogs you can’t help but fall in love with. He loves company and really doesn’t like being home alone, therefore he would benefit from owners who are home often and can give him the attention he’s worthy of. Or if that’s not possible then he’d at least need a friendly doggy pal to share his forever home with. He is good with others dogs and has met all shapes, sizes and ages. He also isn’t fazed by cats; Thomas isn’t fazed by much really and is happy to tag along with whatever you are doing!

Thomas was found wandering around Buronga all by himself and ended up in the pound where surprisingly no one came forward to claim him as it is clear that Thomas has had training in his past life as he has lovely manners and knows how to ‘sit’, ‘look’ and doesn’t jump up on your lap unless asked. Thomas knows his name and will walk beside you while off-lead, and if he does run off no need to worry as he has excellent recall. This sweet boy absolutely loves his daily walks - as soon as he sees his lead come out he will jump with excitement and twirl in circles to let you know he is ready to go! Thomas also loves a game of fetch and plays with his soft toys, but dropping it is a different story, he never wants to give his toys up! Thomas will play for hours with his doggie companions or will entertain himself by throwing his toys up in the air then chasing them around the backyard.

Loveable Thomas travels well in a car and is a good swimmer who enjoys going for a dip in our mighty Murray River. He doesn’t normally dig or chew and he rarely barks which is a bonus! Thomas is great with kids too; recently he was walking past a primary school and all the kids lined up to give him a pat, he just adored all the love and attention wanting to go back for more!

As he has truly enjoyed an indoor / outdoor lifestyle while in foster care we’d want to see this continued in his forever home – Thomas is toilet trained and hasn’t had any ‘accidents’ in his foster home.
