About Daisy ~ mini foxy, 2yo (On Trial 21/6/17)
Daisy is a 2yo, Mini Foxy that is so sweet she will win your heart. She is well housetrained and very affectionate. She loves people of all ages including children and likes to give kisses. She pays no attention to chickens in their hutch. She is tiny girl, only 3kgs.
Daisy is living with 3 other small dogs and gets along well with all of them and loves to play with them but is more interested in people. She will chase a cat so not suitable to a home with cats.
She will sit when asked and come when called and would respond very well to further training. Her best trick is to jump right into your arms if you invite her up by tapping on your chest. This tiny girl has springs in her legs so will need high, 1.6m fences.
Daisy travels well in the car. She is not a nuisance barker. She is fantastic with children. Of course, they need to understand to be gentle with her as she is very small, so resident children should be 10 years or older. Daisy gets very scared if spoken to harshly, so she needs gentleness, kindness and a fairly calm environment.
Daisy would love a home where there is someone who is away from home for less than 5 hours per day, such as a young retired person or couple. She could be an only dog if she gets lots of time with people, but she would also be happy to live with other small dogs.
Daisy is an inside dog and needs to be allowed inside and to be kept safely inside when no one is home. She is very good at night and likes to sleep in a person's bedroom.
Daisy is just a sweet, loving, well behaved little girl who will be a perfect companion. We look forward to finding her a home where she will receive attention, walks and love.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
