About Tommy
Tommy
Male Cattle dog x Jack Russell
Located in Toowoomba
Available for interstate adoption.
Hi my name is Tommy and I want to be your new best friend.
I was kill listed at a rural pound where OTC found me and saved me.
I am a very sweet, funny, happy boy but I can also get quite scared.
The car ride from the pound I didn't stop shaking :( but I soon settled into my foster home and my true colours came out.
I still get quite nervous and scared, so I am best suited to a calm and quiet house where I can relax and enjoy myself. I need a lot of positive reassurance to get me by.
I LOVE balls and playing tug-o-war and would love a furry friend to play with. I also really, really love water so would love if my new family had a shell pool for me, or even a sprinkler! I also love to dig so maybe even a separate shell full of sand would be great!
Once you get to know me and I feel comfortable around you, you will see how loving I really am. I just love to snuggle and hug you and be right near you.
All I want is to be accepted and have a family that will love me for the rest of my days.
I've been around cats and dogs and I love them as much as I love humans.

Healthy and happy
Adoption details
Before applying, please consider and finalise the following: real estate approval, fence repair if needed, outside shelter areas and look into the dog's breed dietary requirements eg large breed vs medium breed.
Once you are ready to adopt, please complete the OTC Adoption Application questionnaire below. This is not a contract or agreement of any kind, just an expression of interest in the animal. We will not authorise meets unless this has been completed and only approved applications may meet the dogs. Once you are approved and have submitted all relevant information, we will organise for you to meet the dog at your home, or in a public place. If you have other animals they must be at the meet.
If at the meet, you and the dog get along- you have the option of either taking the dog on the spot (in exchange for the full adoption fee paid upfront, and contract signed)- or placing the dog on hold for up to 2 days without any holding fee applicable. When adoption begins you will be provided with 7 days' worth of food for the dog, as well as what brand and type of food it is, so that you may change their diet carefully and slowly, or purchase more, if needed.
*PLEASE NOTE we do not hold dogs for 3 days or longer, without a non-refundable holding deposit of $100. If you are unwilling to put a deposit on the dog, we will continue to advertise and speak with other potential adopters and so you may miss out. We have had to make the deposit non refundable to avoid time-wasters, especially when it comes to puppies under 5 months of age. The $100 holding deposit is then subtracted from the outstanding adoption fee, which is to be paid at collection of the dog. Eg if full adoption fee is $450, and you pay a $100 holding fee so we can hold the dog for a week- the day you collect the dog you will sign and adoption contract, and pay the remaining $350 fee of which $50 is non-refundable.
During the trial period, should the pet become ill, you must present it to the OTC-approved vet clinic in your area and OTC will cover any treatment needed.
On commencement of the trial period, OTC will send you a copy of your signed contract, the vaccination cards, desexing certificate, microchip number and council registration, and will transfer the microchip into your name.
So. Ready to roll? Then fill out the attached short form, and we will be in contact to successful applicants asap. Feel free to follow us up via Facebook page inbox.
