About Rusty
Meet Rusty
Rusty is a lovely tri-coloured senior gentleman of 9 years he still has a lot of energy and heaps of love to give! Affectionate and dog-friendly this gorgeous boy is fully house trained and loves a walk - he practically bounces when you pick up his lead! Currently in foster care with 2 Labradors he's quickly become 'one of the gang' and happily keeps up with them on daily walks but would also be fine with a slightly slower pace. But he does need his daily walk - at time of writing he is about 6kg over his ideal weight of 15kg and with a touch of arthritis in his left hind knee his diet and exercise regime must be kept up by his new family. Rusty loves kids and other dogs and would be best in a home with another friendly dog. He's not overly fond of his foster carer's cats though. If his human/s are at home a fair bit that would be a bonus as he's very people-oriented. Initially he had some separation anxiety but doggie company and lots of inside time has seen that disappear. Despite the weight issue he's in perfect health for a dog his age; his snoring and slight arthritis will be greatly helped with his continued weight loss. He is perfectly behaved inside and sleeps on his mat or on the couch if he can get away with it! Rusty would be a great addition to any family. As with all beagles an escape proof yard is a must.
Can Rusty be your new best friend?
