Shadow is only a young girl, but wants nothing more than to please her humans – this, combined with her natural intelligence, means that she is a very quick learner! She responds well to basic commands and is walking nicely on the lead. She has been off-lead at the dog park, where she loves to run and play with other dogs of every persuasion, and her recall is excellent.
Shadow absolutely adores humans of all sizes as well as other dogs, and is very goofy, playful and affectionate. She has learned to keep a polite distance from cats but she would LOVE to be friends with them! She is devoted to her foster sister, a mature-age terrier. As she’s still young, she can be quite exuberant, but is quickly learning to contain her excitement when it’s necessary and really tries! She enjoys periods of activity or play followed by very long snoozes on the couch; preferably as close to her human companions as possible. One word of warning: she is a snorer!
As a young dog, Shadow would benefit from an adoptive family who is prepared to continue her ongoing education and socialisation. Her foster family have found her to be an absolute delight and will be very sad to see her go! It will be a lucky family who shares a home with this special dog.
Adoption details
If you see an animal that looks like they could be your next pal, submit an Application Form. Once you have submitted the completed Application Form, a volunteer from the Pawfect Pals Adoption Team will be in touch. Please note, the animal you are interested in may not be available at the time you submit your application form, but we will always do our best to match you with another animal in our care.
When a suitable match has been found, we’ll arrange for the animal’s foster carer to give you a call, to discuss your potential new pal in further detail.
A home inspection is then carried out by one of our volunteers to ensure your new pal will be happy and safe at your home. We also encourage you to meet your potential new pal before beginning the trial period.
Once the adoption fee has been paid, you can take your new pal home and begin the 4 week trial. We are available for support and guidance during the trial period, to make the transition as smooth as possible for you and your new pal.
