About Braxton
This very handsome and utterly adorable little chap is Braxton and he loves pats! He gives great head-butts and can't go past a good scratch behind the ear (who can?)
Braxton arrived at SAFE Avon Valley with a cohort of 12 other cats and kittens. All 13 of them were squashed into just 3 small cat carriers and they had been in there overnight so needless to say, they didn't smell the best when they arrived! This extended cat family have all been living on a rural property where they have been fed and cared for to some extent but definitely not as well as they need.
Braxton was one of the healthiest of the bunch when they arrived and once he has a safe and loving home with a more appropriate and regular food supply, he will grow into a healthy, robust and absolutely gorgeous cat. His gorgeous slate-grey colouring is already very handsome and he has lovely, expressive eyes.
This super cute boy seems as though he never really got to experience his kitten-hood (living tough on a farm will do that to you!) so in a new home we think he is going to really blossom and hopefully learn to be playful and really become part of the family. There is just something very cute and appealing about his little face that makes him hard to walk past!
Braxton will definitely be very happy to live with other cats. He will also adjust to a home with dogs. Very small children might be a bit overwhelming but he isn't really a nervous cat at all so given an appropriate opportunity to settle in, we think he will be happy just about anywhere that he is getting loved!
If you have a safe, warm and loving home that is missing this cute little face, get in quick and add him to your family!
Medical notes
Braxton was in a bit of a state when he came into care and he has not been looked after well in the past. He's quite thin and his coat is pretty rough but all-round he's not doing too badly!
He does have some gingivitis (inflammation of the gums) though his teeth themselves are healthy. A good quality diet and preferably a dental diet such as Royal Canin dental or Hills t/d will be a good way to ensure good dental hygiene into the future.
Adoption details
Thank you for taking the time to view one of our lovely animals. We love them all and we hope you will too.
If you would like to know more about an animal please call Freedom on 0409 000 259. If it sounds like you and the furry creature are a suitable match then we will pass on the foster carer’s details to you so you can call and make a time to meet them.
Once you have met the animal and wish to go further then we may organise a yard check to ensure that your yard is safe and secure (dogs only). You can then take your new family member home on a 2 week trial and if you decide they are not suitable then you can return them.
If you are not sure how existing animals in your home might be affected, or you want a little extra time to get to know the nature of the animal, we may allow you to foster with a view to adopt.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
