About Jax
Please say hello to Jax.
Jax is proving to be a very loyal boy. He has only been with his foster family for a short time and he follows his foster mum everywhere. He is happiest when he is by her side. He also loves the teenage girls in the house and will also follow instructions from them.
Jax is really lovable. He is currently in a foster home where he has 2 resident dogs to spend his days with. Jax has no issue with the older dog but gets on like a house on fire with his foster sister who is couple months older than him. She and Jax like to play in the backyard and then have a snooze in the sun. If they are awake they are following their foster mum to see what she is up to.
The only way she have been able to leave him for a few hours has been with the company of the other dogs. For this reason, Jax will definitely need to go to home where he will have a desexed doggy friend as he does not cope with being left on his own. He has been through a lot of changes lately and is really relying on the company of his settled friends to help him overcome all the confusion.
Jax will be looking for a home with a large secure yard where he will have plenty of room to move as he grows
He loves playing and after that he is happy to lay on his bed or curl up on the couch with his foster family. He is a smart, young man who is very devoted to his people.
Jax still needs another vaccination to be covered from exposure to infection but his carer has been doing some leash walking around the house and the backyard and he is very good in this environment. This is a great step to help him learn before he heads out into the big wide world.
He travels ok in the car but is still a bit anxious which is understandable considering his last few trips have been to unknown destinations. He is happier sitting next to someone in the car. His carer has been taking him on short car rides to help him learn to associate it with a positive experience.
Toilet training – Jax will normally just sleep through the entire night. In the past week or so, he has only gotten up once for a potty break at 3am. He gets a bit restless (sits up and lays down a few times but doesn’t get off the bed ) so she know he needs to go. He does occasionally forget through the day but being young he will find his own routine and catch on quickly.
Jax is learning his manners and patience around food. It has been a challenge to teach him which indicates he may have been left without food at some stage in his past. He is slowly trusting that he will not go hungry but occasionally still feels he needs to take food from the other dogs. Feeding him separately will be best way for him until he understands his next meal will always be there for him.
Jax is currently learning some basic commands and has already learnt to sit and lie down. He is now mastering how to shake hands. Obedience training will offer him a great amount of guidance while he is still young. We are not sure what breeds Jax is mixed with but he is going to be a big, strong boy so understanding manners and direction will be a huge advantage to him and his family. He loves pleasing his family and is very happy when he receives praise for being a clever boy.
All in all this gorgeous boy is extremely friendly and loving. He is very well behaved and wants to be everyone's best friend. He is great with teenagers and was very calm when he met a young child who came up for a pat.
Jax has not been tested with cats so a home with NO CATS would be preferred.
Please send us an enquiry if you can help Jax find his wonderful new home
Jax is currently in Cairnlea, VIC
Medical notes
Jax has been desexed, microchipped and has received 1 vaccination. He will require another booster. He has also been flead and wormed since coming into our care.

We do require any other dogs in your home meeting our foster animal before they head home with you. This enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care, this is a condition of our Adoptions.
