About Ngala
Pretty Ngala is such a nice little dog. She was originally living in Tennant Creek with a local family who left town. She was stranded alone with her puppies, but a neighbour cared for the little family until the pups were old enough to leave her, and brought them to us for rehoming. They are all rehomed in South Australia and their families rave about their gorgeous temperaments and natural intelligence. The neighbour continued to care for Ngala until he left town. Being unable to take her with him, he brought her to us for rehoming.
Prior to all this she had been making friends and influencing people for quite a while around Tennant Creek. She used to get around and call in on people, sit with them, get a pat and a feed and go on her way. Consequently we often bump into people who speak very fondly of Ngala and ask after her. In all this time she kept her nose clean with the authorities and never got into any trouble. She really is a diplomatic and likeable little character.
Now in foster care in Elliott with a mob of other rescue dogs, she is really enjoying kicking back and relaxing in an environment where she is comfortable and well cared for. She is house trained, and relaxed and quiet about the house, loves getting cozy in a comfortable dog bed, and really loves cuddles and pats. Smart little girl too, who picks up things really quickly and is keen to cooperate, and has a very loyal nature. She plays really nicely with the puppies and older dogs, and I notice that when people walk by and the others are barking, she just doesn't bother.
Our rescue and rehabilitation work happens in Central Australia, but because of the scarcity of adopters locally, our re-homing operation is in South Australia. Ngala's adoption fee includes crate hire, courier transport by road from Tennant Creek to Alice Springs, and a direct flight from Alice Springs to Adelaide.
Medical notes
Ngala will be wormed and heart-worm treated again just before leaving the Territory. She should be be put on a normal worming regime and have at least 1 further heart-worm treatment after she arrives down south.
