About Alice ~ Boxer x Staffy puppy (On Trial 2/7/17)
Alice is a 12 week old female Boxer x Staffy puppy with a beautiful nature. Alice has a beautiful tan coat with a white diamond on the back of her neck.
Alice is adorable! To say she has a kind and friendly disposition is no exaggeration. She plays well with our 12yo female JR and our younger 3yo male JR. She is energetic as all puppies are, but enjoys her three rest breaks a day.
Alice has adapted to walks on her lead and diligently follows our other dogs. For such a young puppy, she learns very quickly. Alice is a good eater and enjoys her food.
Alice is an inside dog but sleeps in the laundry, on her bed, at night. She is always so excited to see us first thing in the morning and puts a smile on all of our faces. Alice lives in our office during the day and is happy to meet everybody and our Clients are happy to meet her.
Alice has basic training, she will sit, stay and come when called (most of the time but is still learning). She is starting to become toilet trained and always follows the other dogs outside. She is still a puppy so the occasional mishap does occur.
Alice has started to last the night in the laundry if taken out just before bed time. Alice is very happy to learn, so she would enjoy further training. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
Alice plays well with our dogs and is interested in making friends with our neighbour’s dogs, which is a good sign. She has also been chased by their cat so we are not sure how she will go with other cats. She can be over playful at times but she is a puppy and soon wears herself out. Alice can be a little timid when going to a new place but her confidence grows quite quickly. She is also getting used to bath time and is starting to relax more when washed.
Alice would suit a family with young to teenage kids, a couple that work part-time or someone that is retired. Alice loves a cuddle first thing in the morning, lunchtime and in the evening. Since she loves a cuddle she would benefit from someone who is home that could give her the attention she adores. Alice is a wonderful, playful girl that would love to be part of a growing family.
As Alice is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because she'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when she's approximately 5 months old.
If you are interested in meeting Alice, please call or text her foster carer Steve on 0429 622 769 or email steve@maddenqs.com.au. Alice is located in Maitland, NSW (near Newcastle).
Alice’s adoption fee is $500 and includes her desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and she's been treated for fleas and worms. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
