About Rufus ~ sweet, male Staffy x pup (On Trial 27/5/17
Rufus is an 8 week old, male, Staffy x puppy. Rufus is a sweet little darling who loves to play.
Rufus will grow up to be a small to medium sized dog. He is learning basic commands such as sit for meals, sit, stay and come, but he’d love to do more training with his new family. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
Rufus is living in a home with both indoor and outdoor access at all times in his current home and gets along well 2 other dogs in home. Rufus has two young children to play with and is often found hiding with them in the cubby house. He prefers to be at the feet of his foster family whilist sitting watching TV and generally enjoys the company of both his foster people and his companion dogs.
Rufus will be an active dog and would ideally suit an active couple or family. Rufus would suit any home if given the right training and stimulation as he grows.
As Rufus is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when he's approximately 5 months old.
For more information or to meet Rufus, please phone his foster dad Nate on 0422 995 756. Rufus is in the Newcastle area, NSW.
Rufus's adoption fee is $500 and includes his desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and he's been treated for fleas and worms. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
