Haych is a young, fun-loving, playful and happy chappy! He loves other dogs and playing and running with them. He is happy to share his toys and bones with his doggy friends.
Haych adores people and being around his carer. He is the sweetest and happiest boy and will make a loyal, wonderful dog with a bit of time and commitment to train him, at the end of the day he becomes the snuggliest lap dog ever.
He is a typical kelpie so will require daily exercise/playtime/mental stimulation and engagement, he’s a very clever and curious young boy. He will thrive with some formal training as he is such a fast learner.
Haych has learned to wait for his food in the short time he has been in care and takes treats gently from your hand, he knows sit as well. He does need some guidance when it comes to the house rules and his manners.
Haych loves nothing more than going for trips in the car and travels well, securely tied of course.
He is in care on a small farm, he has had other dogs to continually play with and he has been fine around cattle and horses, chases the sheep for fun, not to hurt, is not suited to free range poultry and has been very curious about the cat.
Adoption details
If you see an animal that looks like they could be your next pal, submit an Application Form. Once you have submitted the completed Application Form, a volunteer from the Pawfect Pals Adoption Team will be in touch. Please note, the animal you are interested in may not be available at the time you submit your application form, but we will always do our best to match you with another animal in our care.
When a suitable match has been found, we’ll arrange for the animal’s foster carer to give you a call, to discuss your potential new pal in further detail.
A home inspection is then carried out by one of our volunteers to ensure your new pal will be happy and safe at your home. We also encourage you to meet your potential new pal before beginning the trial period.
Once the adoption fee has been paid, you can take your new pal home and begin the 4 week trial. We are available for support and guidance during the trial period, to make the transition as smooth as possible for you and your new pal.
