About Flash ~ 4yo Jack Russell boy (on trial 24/05/17)
Meet friendly Flash, a 4 year old Jack Russell with lots of character. Flash is a funny little guy who is very friendly with both people and dogs.
Flash loves his daily walk, to play with the kids in the backyard and to get out and about; going to new places and meeting new and old friends. And he absolutely loves loves loves playing with the waterhose! His favourite places to go are the beach and the dog park. He is a bundle of energy, but at home he likes to spend long periods sleeping in the sun or in his bed.
He is always super friendly to people and other dogs - big and small at the beach or at the dog park. He's quite bold and sometimes I think he believes he's a big dog! He really loves saying hello, always with his tail wagging and ready for a play if the other dog is willing.
Flash would be fine as an only dog but he would love to have a play mate. He has no separation anxiety but he loves his family, and is always very, very happy to see you when you arrive home. He sleeps outside during the day with access to the laundry through a doggy door. But when his family is home he needs to be included in family life and to be allowed inside. He also needs to sleep inside.
All though Flash is a confident little guy, he has two big fears - storms and fireworks… He finds it really, really scary and needs to be inside if there’s a storm.
Flash hasn’t had any formal training but will come when called. However, he is so clever and eager to please that I’m sure he will easily learn whatever you want him to do. He hasn’t been allowed inside much, so he will need guidance in the toilet training department.
Flash’s dream is to have a family to love him and who will involve him as much as possible in their life. He would love a family with teenage kids to play with. However, although he loves kids, he does not like to share his favourite toys or food, so he’s best suited for older kids who will respect this. He is not suitable with cats or pocket pets.
If you are interested in meeting Flash, this can be arranged by contacting Celia on celia4dogrescue@yahoo.com (preferred) or mobile 0487 867 884. Flash is located at Umina Beach, NSW (Central Coast) and is available for adoption interstate.
Flash's adoption fee is $400 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all of our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
