About Dexter
This handsome man right here is Dexter, and he is ready to find his forever humans!
Dexter is a real smoocher, he loves nothing more than to cuddle up with his humans and get loads of attention. Just like a typical Staffy Dexter loves affection and will climb on to your lap for it. In his foster home, he has learnt to be a little less needy but if you let him, he will not hesitate to climb on up and get a cuddle. While he does look small, he is quiet a chunky little man, weighing in at 26kg! Which makes being a lap dog not very comfortable for the human.
Dexter came to GAR already knowing a few tricks, he knows sit, shake, drop and roll over. While in foster care he has also learnt to wait for his food, and walk nicely on the lead.
Dexter loves to play tug of war with anyone that will grab hold of the rope, especially if his foster brother joins in.
Dexter is still learning to not jump up and will need his new humans to keep enforcing this, especially when he meets new people. Dexter is toilet trained but being a boy does like to try mark his territory when he goes somewhere for the first time.
Dexter has been living in a foster home with another dog, and has also gone to doggy day care at his foster mum’s work. Dexter is a very social boy and loves to have a good run around and wrestle with his doggy friends. Dexter has also been living with a bird and guinea pigs in cages and hasn’t shown much interest in them at all. Unfortunately, he is not cat friendly though.
Medical notes
Dexter is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, and up to date with flea and worming treatments.
