About Rocket ~ Australian Shepherd x (On Trial 10/5/17)
How handsome is this fellow! This is Rocket a 2 year old Australian Shepherd x.
Apart from his good looks he is super friendly, well trained and loves both adults and kids. What more do you want from a dog?
Well, we actually have more - he is toilet trained, does not jump fences and is not a barker unless he feels something is not right. Too good to be true! Rocket walks well on lead and is very good on voice commands when out walking. He is super active so loves he walks and someone to play with.
Rocket is dog friendly toward other friendly dogs. He is currently an only dog but would also be happy with another dog for company. We are not sure how Rocket is with cats or pocket pets as he hasn’t been exposed to them.
Rocket is good when left on his own but loves to be part of the family so when at home, he would need to be allowed inside to interact. When excited, he can jump up on his owner as he is so happy to see them so will need a little training in this area. He knows commands as in sit, stay and has very good recall and will come when called. Rocket currently sleeps outside or in a garage on his bed.
Rocket is looking for an active family with children over 8 years old or couple or retired couple - he really is just looking for someone to love him. If you would like to meet this gorgeous boy please contact Sharron 0423 331057 or email: sstudley3@bigpond.com. He is located at Bateau Bay ( Central Coast ).
Rocket's adoption fee is $350 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
