About Nala ~ loving 3yo Staffy x (On Trial 25/9/17)
This gorgeous girl is Nala and she is a 3 year old American Staffy x. Nala is the most loving, caring girl with a beautiful happy nature. She will not say no to a cuddle or two, free of course! All she ever wants is affection and love. Are you that person to give her this?
Nala is amazing with kids and people. She will spend all day at your feet being a devoted loving dog. In saying this she is happy to spend time outside with a tennis ball and a bone and be very content in the sun. When you return home, she is so happy to see you she tends to jump for joy and run around for a few minutes but does settle down.
Nala generally sleeps inside at the end of a bed but will sleep on her own bed on the floor in a bedroom if you prefer.
Nala has had basic training, she can sit and stay and will come when called. She is completely toilet trained. She loves a walk but will pull on lead so a walking harness is recommended. She is such a smart girl and will respond well to any further training you wish to give her.
Nala has been socialised with other dogs when younger but isn't particularly fond of them so needs to be an only dog. She will bark at another dog while walking but if you distract her and keep going she is fine. She does need help in this area. Slow introductions and further training would be beneficial.
Nala has recently had a slight accident where she broke her carpel ligament but is recovering fine.
Nala would suit a family with children 8 years and above or someone active. She enjoys time with her owners so needs to spend time inside as part of the family. She isn’t good with cats or pocket pets.
Nala is currently located at the Central Coast but also regularly travels to Bathurst. If you would like to meet Nala, please contact Sharron on 0423331057 or email: sstudley3@bigpond.com
Nala's adoption fee is $295 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
