Matilda ~ lovely Labrador x pup (On Trial 15/5/17)

Matilda is a beautiful 10 week old Labrador x puppy. She is a loving and loyal girl who gets on well with everyone.

I have no doubt that she will fit into any household, as she has fitted in here perfectly. Matilda is great with kids and doesn't jump at all. She is great with other dogs. So far she is okay with my pet rats but sometimes gets a bit too rough with them, but a firm no and she stops. I am not sure what she is like with cats but judging by her easy going character she will be fine if it is dog friendly.

Matilda sleeps inside at night and sleeps right through with no fuss, although now that it's getting a bit cooler she is starting to want to snuggle with us at night. Matilda needs to be welcome inside when people are home, and to sleep inside at least until fully grown. She will grow up to be a medium size dog.

So far Matilda is showing that she is going to be a smart girl. She will come when called and has learned to sit, with a bit of a treat is easier. She has mastered the doggy door and will take herself out to the toilet. She still has the occasional accident inside but it won't take long to master this. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.

Matilda loves to play fetch although sometimes it's a bit one sided. She loves her squeaky toys and slowly getting used to the water. She is fine with loud noises and thunder and will even follow me around when mowing and vacuuming.

Matilda is really the most delightful girl and will make one family extremely happy. She would love to go to a home with another dog to play with.

As Matilda is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because she'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when she's approximately 5 months old.
