About Quill
Looking for a playful new family member? Meet Quill!
Quill is absolutely as cute as a button but there is not much time for cuddles in his life as he is all about the fun! He is an active, happy and adventurous puppy who is not put off by much despite his small size. Quill loves to have room to run around and things to explore. He also loves to play with toys, especially balls, and you will often find a stash of toys in his bed. Quill excitedly greets new people friends which he does with a very waggy tail.
During his time in care, Quill has been very well socialised with other dogs. He has met dogs of all ages and sizes, and wants to be friends with everyone. Quill’s tiny size (currently less than 2kg) means that he doesn’t like bigger dogs to be too rough with him but he is more than happy to give out kisses to the other dogs and run around playing with similarly sized puppy friends. He will be a small active dog when fully grown and therefore, will require a secure yard to run around in and daily exercise.
Quill is starting basic training while in foster care. This involves him learning how to walk on a lead and sitting for a yummy treat. Quill is a very smart puppy and would thrive with further training and stimulating activities. It is very important that his new family are committed to continuing his training by attending puppy preschool and group classes. Quill currently sleeps throughout the night while sharing his bed with another puppy and is learning to toilet on puppy pads.
We are looking for a home where Quill will be a part of the family and included in the daily activities. Ideally, he needs a home with another playful small breed dog. As a minimum though he will need a home with another friendly dog and/or where someone is home more often than not so that he gets the attention that he deserves. Quill should be allowed inside to be with the family and will require a safe and warm bed inside to sleep on at night. Small children may not be the best match with Quill due to his small size and excited nature. He has not been exposed to other types of pets but it is expected that he should be able to harmoniously with others with the appropriate training and introductions.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
