About Mjesto
Mjesto is not for the faith hearted.
This crazy character will keep you healthy with the amount of exercise you will share together.
His spots align perfectly and his structure is so handsome. You could sit and look all day at him all day and crush on his good looks but no time for that!
As a child he was not taught his manners however in care is learning the basics. His sit makes him puff his chest out with pride. His wait is helping calm the crazy and focus on me. Oh and his ‘shake’ will make anyone glow with a smile. Jumping up on people and furniture is a continued work in progress. He has attended group training and made me look silly for how well he was behaved after I warned the group of the ‘newbie with energy’.
On the leash, it was a bit of a race to see how many trees we can meet on the walk. He is now walking with a training collar and taking corrections to heal. With distractions, he still needs a strong hand to redirect his energy and excitement. His desire to see the outside world is still a new and exhilarating thing for him and will take continued exposure until it wears off.
Off-leash walks? I held my breath the first time when I unclipped his leash and guess what?!? PERFECT RECALL. He was the fastest back every time and during a bush walk he would come back to check that I am keeping up. Once you get back to the car he knows the drill and jumps up ready to head home.
In the car he is a perfect passenger, he will have you in stiches when he’s licking your hanging air freshers – his favourite flavour is strawberry!
He is always super excited when he realises the car is stopping at the DOG PARK! The tail does not stop… not that ever does. At the dog park he searches every corner and happily greets every dog and their owner! He will happily run along while others are playing fetch or engage in some play wrestles. This excitement is always paused for a run back and check on me that I am still there and watching his tricks.
Mjesto is crate trained and sleeps through the whole night, which is helped by a long lasting treat. Around the house he is learning to find his calm side and with a less crazy house than mine (4 other foster dogs) this will really bring his energy down. Our evening sit and wait for treats I have managed to keep his bum on the ground and to stop wiggling for 30 seconds and I can now hold his focus.
We are looking for the right family for him to invite this crazy teen into their home, to show him every corner of the world. The ideal candidate would be someone with breed experience and understanding to ensure they know what is ahead. He is a fun and fantastic boy but is not for anyone that wants to follow their 101 Dalmatians childhood dreams.
He has progressed so far from the annoying little boy he was and we need to ensure his next family continue his progress. Do not apply if you are not committed to training and have experience. If you're easily irritated and have no patience, look elsewhere for your next companion. If your looking for a challenge, to further yourself and be proud of progress, then this might be the man in your life you have been searching for.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
