About Hank ~ Kelpie x (On Trial 6/6/17)
Meet Hank, a handsome 6 month old Kelpie X. He is a loveable, charming boy who loves nothing more than a cuddle. Hank loves going for a walk, running at the Park, chasing the soccer ball and wrestling with his (current) older sister. Hank loves people and likes other dogs but would not be suitable with pocket pets. He has not been around children, however I am sure he will love them like he loves adults. Hank will likely grow to be a medium to large size dog.
Hank gets very excited to see you and is currently learning very quickly not to jump all the time in excitement. He loves his food, however will require some extra training to learn to be patience. He is toilet trained and is responsive to his name when you call him, he also walks very well on the lead and is improving on his sit and stay commands. It is always recommend to attend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
Hank sleeps both inside and outside (depending on the weather), but comes inside while we are at home and loves to stay close by to keep you company. Being a Kelpie, Hank will be a very active dog, therefore will suit an active couple, family or single person with a large yard to run around in especially while you are not at home and daily walks or runs at the park. Hank would love to have another doggy friend to keep him company although this is not essential.
Hank will make a beautiful, loyal and loveable addition to your life. He is currently located in the Newcastle area, if you are interested in this beautiful boy please send a message to his current foster carer, Jane on 0430173064.
Hank's adoption fee is $450 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
