About Sparkles ~ Fox Terrier (trial with Lilly 8/5/17)
Sparkles, 5 yo, female, Fox Terrier x. Sparkles loves children and will happily be their doll and go for a ride in a pram. She loves going for walks and playing with soft toys. She is house trained and uses a doggy door. Sparkles is happy to spend time outside, but needs to be welcome inside when people are home. She likes to sleep inside, preferably in your bedroom or snuggled next to you in bed if you don’t mind a tiny bed warmer.
Sparkles is a loving girl; very much a lap dog, a lounge lizard, and people orientated. She loves to be close, touching you or watching you potter around doing chores. She needs a home where there is someone home most of the time, such as a stay-at-home mum or retired person.
* gets on very well with other dogs needs a dog friend in her forever home.
* is not suited to homes with cats, birds, chickens or pocket pets.
* is a smart girl and will follow basic commands and could learn more.
* is not a barker but will warn you when visitors arrive.
Sparkles' story is a sad one. She and her sister Lilly lived a carefree and happy life for a few years until their family suffered a severe blow and ended up in temporary housing. They moved around for some time, until the dogs were finally surrendered to Rescue.
Can you offer Sparkles a stable home so she will never have to move again?

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
