Billie and Ash

Meet Billie and Ash, 2 bunnies who have had an eventful time since coming to stay at Homeless Hounds. We took in Billie and Ash on Christmas Eve 2016, when they found themselves on death row at a pound due to being unclaimed. Once they arrived at HH it became evident that Billie was pregnant. Ash was desexed and moved into separate quarters. This was really hard for the two buns as they were very much bonded, but necessary so that Billie could raise her bubs. Because male bunnies are fertile for approx. six weeks after desexing we also needed to prevent further litters. Billie has been busy raising her babies who were born Jan 3, and she has done a wonderful job. Now she and her kits have been desexed. Her children are ready to go to new homes, and it's now time for Billie to relax and enjoy the good life, Rather than rehome Ash, we have kept him in foster so that we can reunite these two again, and we hope that they will find a beautiful forever home together. Both bunnies have beautiful temperaments. Ash is a big boy, and a complete smooch. He is blind in one eye, however this has no long term health complications and it does not slow him down one bit. Billie is super affectionate. She enjoys a cuddle and a pat. She will often give out some kisses, in the form of bunny licks, when she is lapping up some human attention.
