About Jerry ~ kelpie x jr pup (pending adoption)
Jerry is a cute, tiny 12 week old tan coloured Kelpie x puppy (possibly x Jack Russell or Foxy as he is quite small).
Jerry is a friendly, social boy with an independent personality who loves being spoilt by cuddles. He often sits and just looks at you as though he wants to ask you a question?
Jerry is a puppy and loves to play. He loves chasing his brothers, the sandpit and squeaky toys. Jerry is smaller than his brothers and will remain a small size dog. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training. Jerry is no different even though he is small. Puppy-training classes would give him the best start in life.
He has been well socialised with other adult dogs, his puppy siblings and cats. He is a happy boy outside and is learning his inside manners. Due to Jerry’s size and character, his ideal home would not include young children. You will also need good fencing with no small gaps. He would also suit a home where he can be inside/outside and where someone is home to keep him company for most of the time.
Jerry’s brothers: Lewis and Wally are also available for adoption.
Jerry is not yet desexed and therefore available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when he's approximately 5 months old.
For more information or to meet Jerry, please phone his foster mum, Shellie on 0407 012 830 or email shell.blackwell@gmail.com (preferred). Jerry is in Thornton, NSW (Hunter Valley, near Newcastle).
Jerry’s adoption fee is $500 and includes his desexing, vaccinations and microchipping. He's been treated for fleas and worms. You can see all of our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
