About Bailey
Introducing Bailey - an extremely sweet, quiet and intelligent pup who is quick to learn and please, given the right rewards.
Bailey is crate trained, well on her way to becoming toilet trained, knows some basic obedience and her recall is brilliant for a pup her age. She is also beginning to get the hang of walking with a leash, but still requires a little encouragement at times. She is a very chilled out pup and has been exposed to a number of situations to help get her ready for her new home, wherever it may be – sheep, chooks, children, babies, dogs, cars, bikes etc.
Bailey currently lives with 2 of her siblings and 5 other dogs ranging from 9 months to 10 years. She has not had a problem taking social cues from any of them, understanding who is okay to jump on/annoy and who is not. She loves to play with new dogs, however does not like to be rushed with the initial meeting. She takes her time and has a good think before deciding to do something.
Bailey would benefit from having a calm/gentle male, desexed and mature dog in her new home to help her settle in, provide her with some canine company and ensure that she doesn’t get too lonely when left at home. She is not used to being on her own and considering moving homes will be a big adjustment for her. Homes with another dog will be given preference
Although Bailey loves people, does not jump on children, and listens well already, it is strongly recommended that she attend obedience classes to help socialise her with others, strengthen your bond with each other and to teach her to listen around distractions, all while she is still in the puppy stage. This will help her to grow into a well-behaved and balanced adult dog.
Bailey will grow up to be fairly big, so an adequate sized yard and an active family is a must.
Bailey has met sheep, and only seems interested in playing with them. She has not yet been tested with cats, but I feel her response will be the same.
If you think this sweet girl might be the right fit for your family, we would love to hear from you!
Adoption details
If you think one of our animals would be a good match for your home please email us and we will be in touch shortly after. We all work fulltime, have families and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require any other dogs in your home meeting our foster animal before they head home with you. This enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care, this is a condition of our Adoptions.
