About Gracie Lee
Now on death row- last day monday 14 march
Pound no. 383 - listed 28th october. Gracie-lee was found wandering the streets, covered in scabs, fly wounds and fleas. She had recently had pups and was so skinny she was just a sack of bones. Gracie-lee spent a month in the pound and put on heaps of weight so that when rescued from death row only her ribs and spine were sticking out!
Gracie must have had a hard life as she doesn’t know how to play with people very well and just looks so happy when you give her a cuddle. . . Like her dreams have come true! within a few days of being in foster care, and with lots of cuddles and chow, gracie has become very devoted. Not just to her carers but to the neighbour as well! she is good when left alone, doesn’t dig or destroy the backyard, and is a great watch dog however she does need a home without cats. . She loves to run and run and can be very chatty!
Gracie has lots of love and devotion to give and needs a caring forever family. She is not good around other dogs because she is afraid and no doubt this is a result of poor socialization or possibly being attacked by another dog in the past. However she is keen to please so could be retrained by a committed new family. In her two weeks of being in foster care, gracie has learnt to play and is having such fun, even if she does get so confused and excited she has to dash out the back to retrieve a good-o and then bury it in her bedding!
Update: gradcie's carer had to go overseas so sadly she is back at the shelter and hating every minute of it!
All shelter dogs and puppies come desexed, wormed, microchipped, lifetime registered with your local council and have had their first vaccination. In addition, adult dogs will be heartworm tested. Please visit the shelter website at www. Sydneydogshome. Org
