Cleo

Looking for a dog to warm your lap when you’re watching your favourite TV show? Smaller than a regular Dane, Cleo is a gorgeous, smoochy girl looking for a caring home that will continue building her confidence and understand she may be a bit shy when meeting new people. Cleo LOVES to be a part of the action, so would love a fur-ever home that allows her to be a part of the family inside. When she’s left outside, Cleo likes to play the ‘spot-mum-through-the-windows’ game, but settles down after about 15 minutes. She is toilet-trained and responds well to ‘on your bed’ when it’s bed time (apart from the occasional sneaky goodnight smooch).

Cleo loves to play, so would love a friendly fur-companion who will play a bit of ‘throw your hands up in the air’ and ‘bitey face’ with her. She loves car rides and walks quite well on the lead, only weaving occasionally when there’s a DELICIOUS smell she needs to investigate. She LOVES her fur-foster brother, and doesn’t even react to all the barking dogs when out walking! Oh, did we mention that she doesn’t bark?! Other than having a bit of a chat if foster-mum and dad are taking too long getting ready for a walk, and when she asks her fur-foster brother to play, Cleo is quiet as a mouse!! She absolutely loves her new stuffed cactus toy and though she stops a few metres short of fully returning it, loves playing catch in the yard with it. A 30 minute walk, 10 minutes of catch and Cleo is ready for a leisurely day of naps with her fur-foster brother before cuddles at night with the family.

Recently, Cleo has learnt to ‘sit’ and ‘down’, but hasn’t yet mastered ‘stay’ as she just wants to be as close to her humans as possible. She is incredibly gentle, only using her gums to take food during training and has been ever so gentle with all the little people she has met. As you can see in her photos, Cleo is a bit of a looker and gets lots of attention when she’s out and about. Cleo is very eager to please, and would thrive with some additional training to build her confidence and independence.

If you’re looking for a beautiful, smoochy, gentle and quiet Dane to share your heart and home (and couch) with – Cleo is your girl! She would love if you had a fur-brother for her to hang out with, and bonus points if you work from home so she can spend her day curled at your feet!
