About Diablo ~ Cavalier x Shih Tzu pup (On Trial 11/5/17
Diablo is a beautiful 8 week old Cavalier x Shih Tzu male puppy, he loves to play with his toys and other small dogs and loves to snuggle on the lounge with you watching TV.
He has been living with 8 other dogs and would like another small friendly dog to play with due to his small size it must be a small breed dog . Diablo is a healthy, happy puppy who needs a family who is home most of the time and due to his small size is not available to families with children under 10 yrs for his safety.
You need good fencing with no gaps under fences or gates and cannot go to rural fencing ( eg mesh / wire) . Like all puppies Diablo loves to chew things including fingers and toes and has very sharp teeth , he is learning house training and is doing well for his age but he is only a baby and accidents will happen and his reward based training will need to be continued in his new home.
Diablo is to be a house dog and part of the family and I always recommend puppy school when fully vaccinated.
Diablo has a beautiful soft coat and will need to be brushed and in the summer months groomed to keep him comfortable. All puppies need plenty of love, affection, exercise and training.
As he is not desexed yet he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he will need to attend one of our vets for desexing at approximately 5 months.Diablo is not available for interstate adoption with no exceptions.
For more information please phone his foster mum Debbie on 0408825714 (preferred) or email debbie_morphett@bigpond.com
Diablo is in care in Beresfield NSW near Newcastle his adoption fee is $660 which includes his first 2 vaccinations , microchipping , flea and worm treated and desexing when old enough
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
