Hey everyone!! My name is Abe :) I have the looks of a Wolfhound but I am the size of my foster fur-sibling who is a medium Cattle Cross. I am a fairly subdued kind of fella but my foster mum says that it suits my look and personality however when I have a puppy friend to run and play fight with I soon get excited. I absolutely love humans and my puppy friends and all I want is someone to love me. I show my love by wagging my tail whenever I see someone and giving you lots of hugs. I have a clever trick to receive love by laying on my back as you pass by so you will rub my tummy or just look at you with my big brown puppy eyes. My foster mummy also says she loves the way I give her a big bear hug when she gets home by wrapping my front paws around her waist and leaning my chest in. I am always wanting to impress my human friends by following commands such as sit and shake (I do this with both paws) and if I am doing the command for a treat I am so gentle with taking the treat. I will need to continue with my training of walking on the lead but I am such a quick learner. I get storm anxiety, not with the rain itself but with the lightning and thunder noises. During storms I will tremble but as long as my human friend is there to sit with me, pat me and give me love to show me it's ok, then I'm ok :)
Abe will need someone home often or have a doggy play mate that can handle being dominated. Strong secure fencing is a must

Abe is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm as he came into the rescue testing positive .

Adoption details
Adoption Process
We send out our application to the new potential family and when our forms are returned we start a process called screening. When we have finished our screening and all information that comes back is approved. We do a meet and greet, sometimes more than two. If all parties are happy, we then allow our foster furkid go into your home. After 3 weeks sometimes more, we do a revisit and see how everyone is going, then we change over microchip registration if everything is great.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
