About Kodiac
KODIAC (Kodi) #2315 DOB 3/8/2010 is a male 37kg Alaskan Malamute. Born with papers & a $4000 price tag he was rejecting from "Showing" because his "ears were too small"! Consequently he was passed from one owner to another several times. Eventually he ended up actually living alone in one town & his owner (living in another town) took food to him every few days.
Alone & bored Kodi began leaving his yard looking for dog & human company. During one of his "walks" he was captured & impounded by the rangers. His owner relinquished ownership fortunately. AWL Welfare Officer was shocked at Kodi's totally matted & smelly coat. He was gentle loved company & good with all the other impounded dogs even little dogs & was calm & not interested in the cats.
Saved by AWL his first stop was at the groomers. It was the worst case they'd ever seen but he tolerated 4 hours of grooming by 2 groomers at the same time. It took 4 shampoos to remove the putrid smell from his body which had sticks twigs & prickles embedded into his skin & were festering. With this level of discomfort it was amazing that he was so placid & affectionate. He needed to be sedated to have his lower legs & feet shaved. The end result was a fluffy face & head with a closely shaved body so he looked "unique & intriguing". Now he loves you to rub his back & feel contact with his human. The sores have healed.
Kodi is house trained very well behaved inside loves car rides going to the beach or for walks & he is friendly with dogs & people. Kodi also " talks" to you & for a dog who's roamed freely he is now happy to stay home is pretty good at coming when called & will sit. His new owner should be familiar with the temperament & grooming needs of the arctic breeds. He'll make a loyal companion.
He will come vet checked desexed microchipped vaccinated and wormed. Kodi is in the Bega Valley Shire which is approximately 500ks south of Sydney. He is available for $350.00. For more information phone 0400 372 609.
