About Wally ~ kelpie x jack russell (on trial 1/05/17)
Wally is a gorgeous tricolour 10-week Kelpie x puppy (possibly x Jack Russell or Foxy as he is quite small).
Wally is a very handsome, friendly, cuddly boy with a beautiful soft shiny coat. He has shortish legs and a nuggetty solid stance. Being crossed with perhaps Kelpie or Jack Russell, Wally’s coat will be low maintenance with some shedding.
Wally is a puppy and loves to play. He already loves the squeaky toys, sandpit and balls. He will need ongoing training and will probably grow up to be a small to medium size dog. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
Wally will need a home that can provide lots of exercise and interaction to keep his active body and smart mind stimulated. He will need to be included in your daily activities and to become a part of the family is very important.
Wally has been well socialised with other adult dogs, his puppy siblings and cats. Wally is a happy boy outside and is learning his inside manners. He will be wonderful family dog and is suitable for children. You need will good fencing with no small gaps.
It would be a big plus if you have a friendly adult dog as a teacher, companion and playmate for Wally. If you don't have another dog to keep him company, then it would be preferred if someone in the household doesn't work full time.
Wally’s brothers: Lewis and Jerry are also available for adoption.
Wally is not yet desexed and therefore only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when he's approximately 5 months old.
For more information or to meet Wally, please phone his foster mum, Shellie on 0407 012 830 or email shell.blackwell@gmail.com (preferred). Wally is in Thornton, NSW (Hunter Valley, near Newcastle).
Wally’s adoption fee is $500 and includes his desexing, vaccinations and microchipping. He's been treated for fleas and worms. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
