Lewis ~kelpie x jack russell (on trial 30/4/17)

Lewis (Lewy) is a sweetheart. He is a tricolour 10-week Kelpie x puppy (possibly x Jack Russell or Foxy as he is quite small).

Lewis is a very happy, friendly, cuddly boy with a beautiful soft shiny coat. Being crossed with perhaps Kelpie or Jack Russell, Lewis’s coat will be generally low maintenance with some shedding.

Lewis is a puppy and loves to play. He loves chasing his brothers, the sandpit and squeaky toys. Lewis is smaller than his big brother Wally and will probably grow to be a small to medium size dog. He is quite shy at times and is obviously keen to please. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.

Lewis will need a family that can provide lots of exercise and interaction to keep his active body and smart mind stimulated. A family who can include him in their daily activities and as a member of the family is very important.

Lewis has been socialized with other adult dogs, his puppy siblings and cats. Wally is a happy boy outside and is learning his inside manners. He will be wonderful family dog and is suitable for children. You need good fencing with no small gaps.

It would be a big plus if you have a friendly adult dog as a teacher, companion and playmate for Wally. If you don't have another dog to keep him company, then it would be preferred if someone in the household doesn't work full time.

Lewis’s brothers: Wally and Jerry are also available for adoption.

Lewis is not yet desexed and therefore is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when he's approximately 5 months old.
