About Max ~ border collie x kelpie (on trial 21/5/17
Introducing Max, 18 week old Border Collie x Kelpie puppy who is bursting with puppy love and playfulness.
Max is very alert and with his inquisitive nature he will excel at training and even dog sports, if you are so inclined. He already knows “sit” and “come” and we are currently working on “stay”. Max is house trained and is sleeping inside in the laundry. Max needs to have inside time every day and be a member of the family.
Max loves playing outside with his foster brothers but his favourite game is tug of war with the kids. Once Max is worn out he loves to curl up and take a nap at your feet.
Max would make a fantastic family dog and would be best suited to an active family with slightly older children that can handle his puppy enthusiasm and not be knocked over accidentally. He will need tall and secure fencing. He will bring lots of joy and love to your family,
For more information or to meet Max, please contact his foster carer Alicia by email alicialyn@live.com.au. Max is in foster care in Port Stephens, NSW (north of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Max's adoption fee is $550 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
