About Rex ~ male Lab x Mastiff pup (on trial 13/5/17)
Rex is a 12 week old, male, Lab x Mastiff puppy who is full of love. Rex loves his cuddles with either his foster siblings or his foster family and will be sure to make you fall in love with him the moment you lay on eyes on him.
Rex is a very healthy little puppy who has been raised in a home environment. He has been very well socialised with other puppies and adult dogs (small and large) and gets along well with them all. He's met lots of people and is friendly and affectionate with them.
Rex will grow up to be a medium to large size dog. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
Rex is very content to laze his days away with the occasional play with his foster siblings. He very rarely barks and is sooo easy going that he will be surely missed by his foster family. As Rex is still a puppy he will be best with the companionship of another dog or a family that is home a lot as he would not be happy being on his own.
Rex needs to be welcome inside when people are home, and to sleep inside at least until fully grown. He will be wonderful family dog and, as Rex will grow into a big boy, it would be best suited if any kids in the family were over 6 years of age as to not knock them over.
Rex's sisters: Lucy and Betsy are also available for adoption.
As Rex is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when he's approximately 5 months old.
For more information or to meet Rex, please contact his foster mum Suzanne by emailing chazzybear777@gmail.com. Rex is in the Raymond Terrace area, NSW (north of Newcastle).
Rex's adoption fee is $550 and includes his desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and he's been treated for fleas and worms. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
