About Digger ~ male Staffy x puppy (On Trial 6/5/17)
Digger is a sweet, 10 week old, male Staffy pup. Digger was named with inspiration from Anzac Day in memory of our fallen diggers. Like those who served our country Digger will be a loyal companion to his forever family.
Digger is living in a home with both indoor and outdoor access at all times in his current home and gets along well with 3 year old foster dog Louis. Digger has two young children whom he loves to play fetch and soccer with. He is often found at the feet of his foster family whilst sitting watching TV and generally enjoys the company of both his foster people and his companion dog.
Digger will grow up to be a medium sized dog. Digger is already learning basic commands such as sit for meals, sit, stay and come. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
Digger will be an active dog and would ideally suit an active couple or family. Digger would suit someone who is home most of the time or to be with a family who has another dog friend to keep him company.
As Digger is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when he's approximately 5 months old.
For more information or to meet Digger, please contact his foster mum Paige on 0452 101 026. Digger is in the Central Coast area, NSW.
Digger's adoption fee is $500 and includes his desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and he's been treated for fleas and worms. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
