Misty is a very sweet, loving and gentle girl looking for a home that can meet her high energy needs.
She is a dream to walk and loves her cuddles. Unfortunately she hasn't had the best start in life and is lacking in training but with a bit of patience this is an easy fix. Any sudden or large movements will scare her so calm and reassurance is key to building her trust with people. She is eager to please and looking for love.
Misty will need a family who can accommodate her active Kelpie energy. This could be in the form of another high energy dog, a family with kids or a couple who like an active lifestyle.
Misty is very curious about her surrounds and will help herself to things in a very gentle way - but it's best to keep your socks and slippers out of doggy reach! Her foster mum thinks it's a boredom thing and wouldn't happen anymore if someone were to teach her how to play and entertain herself with doggy toys.

Completing this application form does not place you under any obligation to adopt.
Safe Haven Animal Rescue Inc have a 10 day trial/settling period, if for any reason the pet needs to be returned, we will happily take them back into our care once a foster home is found and the adoption fee minus $50 (admin fee) will be returned via bank transfer within 5 working days. If the pet is returned after the trial period there will be no refund made.
Harvey Dog Training supports SHARI and has kindly offered to provide our adopted animals 30% off training/obedience classes. If you are keen to enrol your new puppy/dog please mention this in your email to us!
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption application must be filled out prior to the meet and greet with the animal.
2. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer. You must bring your dog along to the meet and greet if you are meeting another dog, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption.
3. The animal must not be taken on the day unless prior arranged (travelling over a 2 hr round trip). If prior arrangement is made, an adoption agreement/s and payment details will be given, this can take 2-3 days to finalize before the meet & greet so please give time.
4. 10 day trial period commences
5. Adoption is finalized after 14 days and paperwork is sent via email.
