About Honey ~ On Trial 24/5/17
Introducing Honey - Honey by name, honey by nature! This gorgeous almost 8 year old Husky X girl will wiggle her way into your hearts and lives with her sweet nature and playful antics.
Honey loves giving and receiving cuddles, she'll flop herself on your lap like a lapdog and roll on her back for belly rubs. She enjoys a good back scratch on the grass and then dashes around the yard in glee. Honey enjoys playing with toys and is good at a game of chasings too. She's very people focused and ideally we’d love to see her in a family environment with older kids who will play games with her. She may also suit a semi-retired or retired couple whose own children have left the nest and who are after a loving girl to dote on.
Honey walks nicely on a front clipping harness – she’d love a daily walk as she’s still energetic despite being 7 years old. She has lovely manners and will sit and enthusiastically shake paws for a treat. As with many arctic breeds Honey is best suited to a home without cats, pocket pets or small dogs. She can be selective with other canines (especially with little dogs who she finds pesky) so we would like for her to go to an environment where little dogs running up to her on walks can be avoided.
Honey is an inside/outside dog - she'll need a family with an open door policy so she can come inside whenever her family are home. She'll love a grassy, fenced yard where she can play or just lay in the sun.
If you've got room in your heart for some extra sweetness then Honey raises her paw and says pick me! To find out more please contact Jo on email jo.payne.aus@hotmail.com. Honey is in foster care near Morisset, (NSW Central Coast) and is not available for long distance or interstate adoption.
Honey's adoption fee is $400 and includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
